Max-It-Up

Vince Camuto

Philipp Plein

Topshop

American Apparel

One thing that I will definitely bring to a vacation this year is a printed maxi skirt. If you're going on vacation to a beach, tropical area, or any place that's hot with water nearby, you should bring a maxi skirt. They're so chic, and go perfectly with the whole vacation-tropical vibe. And it's not just a normal, solid color skirt, it's printed. Printed is way more exciting, to my opinion. And I love the length, because it's not a miniskirt, its long, and I think the perfect length for a maxi skirt is to hit right at the ankles. With printed maxi skirts, you should wear a solid color top, just to balance it out, so it's not print on print. I don't really like print on print, I think it looks too complicated. And flat sandals, preferably in gold would look amazing with these (but it's just my suggestion). Underneath are the links!

Vince Camuto Maxi Skirt from Nordstrom

Philipp Plein Maxi Skirt from FarFetch

Red Printed Maxi Skirt from Topshop (tip for when buying this, is to buy it one size larger, because this hits above the ankle, and to get the perfect length, it should hit at the ankle).

Blue Plaid Maxi Skirt from American Apparel (tip for when buying this, is to buy it one size larger, because this hits above the ankle, and to get the perfect length, it should hit at the ankle).

If you live near New York, then you would notice that yesterday, it was cold. Cold for the summer. And this got me thinking about fall and winter, and if you read my last post, then you know how excited I am for the season. I already started looking at coats. And I love the trend on the runway of oversized coats. And like the title of my post, the bigger, the better. So instead of buying a new coat that hits at your hip or upper thigh, try to buy one that hits right at your knee or a little above it. I love seeing them on the runway in new colors and design other than the traditional black. I know I'll be wearing these in the winter!

Mercedes-Benz Miami Fashion Week Swim is over, and so I decided to share some pictures from it. The kick-off party was a lot of fun, with DJ Chelsea Leyland there. Many celebrities attended Miami Swim Week, from Chrissy Teigen to Kourtney Kardashian to even Dennis Rodman. These are just a few pictures from the kick-off party and the runways.

As it is summer, the weather is just extremely hot. And if you're like me, then you can't wait to wear jeans, sweaters, leather, etc. Tired of wearing shorts? I know sometimes I am. These casual and fashionable trousers are great to wear in the summer. Don't think that it's too hot to wear them because the fabric they're made of is completely soft and light, perfect for the summer. I am in love with this trend of slim-fit trousers, printed trousers, and I love how you can wear them year-round (at least I will).

Kate Middleton's Maternity Style

The Royal Baby is on it's way! Kate Middleton has checked into St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London Now, as the Duchess of Cambridge is a fashion icon for many, many people, I decided to take a look back at her outfits that she wore when she was pregnant. Even in her pregnancy, the Duchess still wore heels, and even in the grass! Many of the outfits were simple, not very tight (take note Kim), and of course very fashionable. I do love the look when she was wearing jeans (look 4), and I also love the print dress (look 5).And I must say that I love the plaid coat she was wearing (look 1). No doubt that she has wonderful style, very simple and elegant. For her last public appearance, she wore a light pink Alexander McQueen (who doesn't love McQueen?) coat, and looked very happy. Now we all await for new that the baby is finally here! Which look was your favorite?

Runway Hats

Balenciaga Resort 2014

Balenciaga Resort 2014

Chanel Fall 2013 Couture

Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2013 Couture

Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2013 Couture

Ralph Lauren Resort 2014

Armani Fall 2013 RTW

Hats have been showing up on the runway in the strangest ways. I remember when I was looking at Balenciaga's Resort 2014 collection, I was questioning them. And I still am. This made me look more into hats and see how other designers have designed them. Many designers chose not to have hats, and that made me happy because I am not a hat person. While I looked through, I saw strange hats. Chanel's square shaped hats rested on the back of the head, not on the top. Ralph Lauren had swim-cap-like hats. I really hope that people do not wear those in public. Jean Paul Gaultier had cone shaped hats. If you are like me, then when/if you saw the entire collection, then the first thing you probably saw were the hats. Just like Balenciaga, the hats for Jean Paul Gaultier also had me questioning. Armani's fur hats are understandable, but they could have been smaller in size... Now, if you are a member of the Royal Family or are associated with them, then I could understand as to why you would wear these hats. But otherwise... What do you think about them, and would you like to  continue to see them on the runway?

Beyonce's Street Style

I've been spending the last two days listening to Beyonce's songs, so I decided to go beyond the music and check out how her street style is. Given the fact that she's been in the music industry for so long, I already knew that she knows how to dress fierce, just like her songs (Sasha Fierce anyone?). And boy, was I right! She has officially become one of my inspirations, and Mrs. Carter sure knows how to dress amazing. I love when she wears leather pants and when she wears tailored jackets. She dresses classy and edgy at the same time.
Who else agrees with me, that Beyonce is a total style inspiration? Also, those of you seeing her on tour or already have this summer, have fun and I bet she pulls off a great show!
