Jump Into the Jumpsuits

Black is one of my favorite colors. And I have recently been obsessed with jumpsuits. So, when I saw this one from Topshop, I immediately screamed (well, in my head). This was exactly what I was looking for, and I felt like I made the discovery of the century (maybe not that excited, but I was really happy). I love how jumpsuits are in because they're so comfortable and they look chic. Who doesn't want to look fashionable and still be comfortable?! And you don't have to wear a shirt and pants, it's all together. You can't get any better than that, can you? You can get these kind of jumpsuits in many different designs and colors, and to make them more stylish, you can pair them up with accessories and awesome shoes. Flats and heels will look very well with jumpsuits. And if you get a simple black one, then you can pair it up with gold accessories (at least that's what I would do). Underneath are more jumpsuits that I really like, you can click the links, and see which ones you like, and hopefully buy them! I know I'll definitely be wearing these for a long time!

Who REALLY Was Best Dressed At the Met Gala?

Now, as I am a subscriber to Teen Vogue, I recently got my August issue in the mail. One of the features was about the Met Gala and it showed many pictures of the best dressed there. Though the Met Gala happened in May, and I had already seen the red carpet pictures, this article got me thinking again...Who was best dressed at the Met Gala? So, I had to go through all the articles and pictures from way back in May, and looked through many of them. Now, with the whole theme of Punk: From Chaos to Couture, we were already expecting a bunch of studs, leather, and black. And although I could not pick one (because I fell in love with both of these outfits), I did pick two, that I think were the best dressed at the Met Gala: Taylor Swift and Cara Delevingne.
Taylor wore a cut-out dress by J. Mendel. I really loved what Taylor was wearing because it fit the theme, but it was so elegant. Same thing with Cara. Taylor had gold studded shoulder on the dress (I'm obsessed), and a long black dress. The cut-outs gave the dress its edgy feel. And her pulled back hair and smoky eyes, finished the look off. She looked stunning.
Cara wore a black, studded gown by Burberry. The top portion of the dress was a low v-neck, and was studded. The rest of the dress was plain black and went all the way to the floor. I really love the studs on the dress, because studs are in right now, but also because they give the dress this edgy feel, and that's what the theme was for this year's Met Gala. Her hair and makeup were perfect, and she even added some sharp accessories, such as a dagger-like necklace, and cuffed earrings. Cara also looked stunning.
Who knew I'd be going back to look at the style on the red carpet for the Met Gala in the end of June? Thanks, Teen Vogue. Underneath are some of my other favorite looks from this years Met Gala.

Saint Laurent Resort 2014

Personally, I am absolutely in love with Sasha Pivovarova as the model for Saint Laurent's Resort 2014 lookbook. The black and white images add this edgy feel. We see a lot of leather (which I am a huge, huge fan of). Leather is incorporated in many ways, from the pants, to dresses, to the original leather jackets. I am actually a huge fan of the pants. They're slim-fit, not skin tight, and they hit just at the ankle. Big belts were also added, I particularly loved where they positioned the belts on the dresses. It gave the dresses a good feel. But also this plain white dress, with one shoulder is stunning. It's very simple, but so elegant. Gah, I love this. Hedi Slimane, you did a terrific job.

Overalls Are So Not Over

Ah, the 90's. Who knew that this trend would come back? And that too with a bang. Overalls are actually such a go-to summer look. They're so simple, yet can look great when you style it the proper way. The overalls Ralph Lauren took to the runway look absolutely amazing, with the washed denim, and the rips near the knees. And these Topshop Dungarees , are absolutely amazing for those hot summer days. Why not try out the trend once again? At last, the 90's are back, but in a stylish way.
